Dr Ros Powell is a Lecturer in English (Long Eighteenth Century, 1700-1830) at the University of Bristol. Her research interests include poetry and poetics; analogy; translation and imitation; natural philosophy; physico-theology; literature and science 1700-1830; religious poetry; Biblical and classical imitation; and national identity.
